About Users' Guides Interactive (UGI)

In order to meet the needs of students, practitioners, and teachers, the Users' Guides collaborators have created three levels of Users' Guides Interactive (UGI). Offered as separate Internet-based subscription services, the UGI products contain all content, markup, and technology embedded in the Users' Guides CD-ROM, but are optimized for use on the Internet. Each level of UGI contains additional content and technology not included in the textbook or CD-ROM:

UGI Learner
The Learner offering is an interactive Web site with the full text Users' Guides to the Medical Literature. It serves those who seek expanded Internet content and interactivity to help them understand the Users' Guides. If you already have an account, use the log in button at the top of the page to access the UGI Learner Web site.

UGI Practitioner
The Practitioner offering includes all of the content of UGI Learner delivered through a unique Internet "desktop" that greatly simplifies information access for busy clinicians. This desktop packages and integrates the Users’ Guides with a number of high-quality evidence-based information resources, searching guides, and automated links to best Internet information resources. UGI Practitioner serves those who want to put the Users’ Guides to work.

UGI Teacher
The Teacher offering includes all of the content and functionality of UGI Practitioner. It adds high-quality teaching resources, tutorial scripts and instructional packages to support teachers of EBM. The slide sets and interactive teaching tools are suitable for hospital rounds, workshops, undergraduate courses and credited programmes through to the Masters Degree level. UGI Teacher offers teachers comprehensive support for a wide range of EBM interventions.
