UGI Desktop
The UGI Desktop is used to deliver both
UGI Practitioner and UGI Teacher
packages. This desktop has been developed by the Centre for Health Evidence (CHE)
to facilitate the practice of evidence-based medicine and use of electronic
information resources.
The desktop allows us to:
- integrate knowledge resources with the Users' Guides
- provide different packages of resources
for different groups
- develop interactive modules for learning
and teaching
- monitor usage
If a user has subscribed to a UGI
Practitioner version, they would have access to a package of
resources developed to help them practice EBM. If a user has
subscribed to a UGI Teacher version, they would have access
to a variety of resources to help them develop and teach an online
EBM course/workshop. UGI Teacher
packages also have student views for the purpose of classroom instruction.
The UGI Desktop is currently only available in its demonstration form for
individuals who are working with the CHE and JAMA to develop these unique
EBM packages. Please do not install the desktop if you have not been directed
to this site by a member of the UGI team.
